We recognize the
environmental impact of our operation on the environment. Our production
of power inductor products and resale activities of electronic components
to customer worldwide make demands on the environmental resources and affects
the
environment. It directly or indirectly
polluted the air, land, water and depleted the natural resources.
We intend and strive to protect the
environment and minimize the environment impact by deploying sound environmental
management system and practices, resources and technologies. To carry out
this policy we will:
- Develop and implement effective
environmental management system, and meet or exceed all applicable environmental
requirements for all our activities, products and services, including legal
requirements, standards, and voluntary commitments.
- Establish and deploy control
systems, procedures and processes to prevent activities and/or conditions
that pollute the environment;
- Contribute to sustainable development
by preventing and/or reducing emissions and releases, minimizing wastes,
optimizing use of resources, and promote recovery, reuse and recycle of
products and waste materials.
- Educate, train and communicate
to ensure environmental awareness of our workforce, encouraging every employees
to conduct their activities in a responsible manner by adhering to work
procedures, maintain appropriate measures, and being prepared for emergencies.
- Encourage suppliers and contractors
to maintain sound environmental practices, and response to the concerns
of customers, local communities and other interested parties, and to respect
the general environment, flora and fauna, animal habitat in and around
our sites.
- Disclose, share and communicate
the environmental policy to our employees and general public.
Murata Malaysia
strives to be of service and integral part of local community. Regular
environment and health activities that contribute to the local community
are undertaken around residential areas and parks. Local residents and
employees are invited to participate in the cleanup program, tree planting,
environmental workshop, health screening and eco-colouring for children.
